I. Product Introduction
The overall design features an ingot-shaped cloud with an irregular cut edge, paired with delicate beaded lace trim. The magnolia blossom symbolizes elegance, good fortune, and a house full of gold and jade. It is primarily designed for individual tea ceremonies, as a teapot mat, or for gaiwan placemat use, suitable for new Chinese-style tea tables, Japanese Zen tea tables, study desks, and light luxury home furnishings.
II. Craftsmanship Origin: Retro Yarn-Dyed Jacquard Fabric Craft
The fabric utilizes a modern improved yarn-dyed jacquard weaving technique, inheriting traditional shuttle-woven jacquard ancient methods. It references floral patterns from old brocades of the Republic of China era, abandoning glue-printing techniques. The floral and leaf patterns are formed integrally through the interweaving of warp and weft threads, resulting in a立体 (three-dimensional) and full texture. The classic black background with magnolia patterns is inspired by floral motifs from Republic of China era clothing, integrating Eastern freehand floral aesthetics to reproduce the elegant texture of fabrics from old boudoirs. The edges are hand-sewn with beaded fringe lace, continuing the old-fashioned handmade edging technique, offering both a retro ambiance and a handmade touch.
III. Practical Performance
1. Adaptable Styling: The ingot-shaped cloud silhouette is small and exquisite, perfect for solo tea drinking, small pot brewing, and placing tasting cups and incense holders. It can be used on small home tea tables, portable travel tea sets, or as a dressing table ornament.
2. Tea Ceremony Practicality: The jacquard fabric has a dense structure, with a surface that can momentarily block tea water penetration, preventing tea stains from eroding solid wood tea trays. The bottom layer is复合 (composite) with anti-slip lining, making it less likely for zisha pots and gaiwans to slide or tip over when placed, effectively protecting the tabletop's painted surface.
3. Soft Furnishing Display: The black background with silver-white magnolia patterns paired with creamy white lace is retro and gentle, suitable for various desktop styles such as vintage, French retro, new Chinese, and Japanese Wabi-sabi. Beyond tea ceremonies, it can also be used as an incense mat or jewelry mat, a multi-purpose item that enhances the desktop ambiance.
4. Easy Maintenance: The fabric has excellent colorfastness. Daily tea spills can be cleaned with a damp cloth. For heavy stains, it can be gently hand-washed; it resists fading and wrinkling, and the lace is securely attached and not prone to unraveling.
