I. Product Introduction
The overall design features a wave-shaped border resembling an ingot, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune, and auspicious clouds for smoothness and success. It is specially designed for small tea tables, single-person tea settings, and teapot trays, perfectly suiting Chinese-style tea rooms, study tea tables, and light luxury tea spaces.
II. Craftsmanship Origin: Intangible Cultural Heritage Traditional Brocade Weaving
Brocade weaving originated from colored weaving in the Shang and Zhou dynasties, flourished in the Tang and Song imperial courts, and is a national intangible cultural heritage weaving technique. In ancient times, it was an imperial exclusive brocade material. This product employs the ancient method of shuttle-through jacquard weaving, where patterns are formed by intertwining warp and weft threads without any printing or dyeing. The patterns emerge from various colored silk threads. The fabric pattern blends Persian palmette motifs from the Silk Road with Chinese scrolling floral patterns, a classic example of ancient East-West pattern fusion, replicating the aesthetic of Ming and Qing dynasty court brocades.
III. Practical Performance
1. Adaptable Design: The ingot-wave shaped border and compact size are perfect for single-person tea brewing, placing gaiwan tea sets, purple clay teapots, and incense burners. It is suitable for small tea trays, portable tea tables, and in-car tea spaces.
2. Tea Ceremony Utility: The dense brocade material is water-resistant, so spilled tea is not easily absorbed quickly, preventing water stains from damaging solid wood tea tables. The non-slip bottom ensures stable placement of tea ware, preventing slipping.
3. Soft Furnishing Display: Featuring retro imperial patterns, it serves as an embellishment for new Chinese, Zen, and retro tea room decor. It is both a practical tea mat and a desktop Chinese-style soft furnishing ornament.
4. Easy Maintenance: Local tea stains can be lightly wiped with a damp cloth. For overall dirt, it can be gently hand-washed. The brocade has high colorfastness, making it resistant to deformation and fading after washing.
